Description

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (sourdough, whole grain, or your choice)
  • 2 slices of cheese (sharp cheddar, gouda, or your preference)
  • 1/4 cup dill pickles, sliced
  • Butter, for grilling

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of a slice of bread and place it, butter-side down, in the skillet.
  3. Layer with cheese and dill pickles, then top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  4. Cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side.
  5. Once crispy and cheese is melted, slice and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, mix garlic powder into your butter or sprinkle smoked paprika on the cheese. Serve with a side of tomato soup for a complete meal.
