- 320 grams (2 2/3 cups) All-Purpose Flour
- 66 grams (1/3 cup) Granulated Sugar
- 1 tbsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 8 tablespoons Butter, cubed and chilled
- 1/3 cup Sprinkles
- 3/4 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 large Egg
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 tsp Almond Extract (optional)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add cubed butter and blend until resembling coarse crumbs.
- Stir in sprinkles gently.
- In a separate bowl, whisk heavy cream, egg, vanilla, and almond extract. Combine with dry ingredients.
- Shape the dough into a 1.5-inch tall circle on the baking sheet and freeze for 1-2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice dough into 8 triangles, brush with heavy cream, and bake for 20-22 minutes.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, use a gluten-free flour blend. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for up to a month.
