Description

A delightful jam combining ripe blueberries and lavender for a sweet and aromatic treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1/4 cup fresh lavender buds
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 pouch fruit pectin

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine blueberries, lavender buds, and water. Cook over medium heat until the blueberries break down, about 10 minutes.
  2. Strain the mixture to remove lavender buds, allowing only the blueberry juice to remain.
  3. Return the liquid to the saucepan and add sugar, honey, lemon juice, and fruit pectin. Stir until well combined.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly.
  5. Once boiling, cook for 1-2 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  6. Pour the jam into sterilized jars and seal tightly.
  7. Allow to cool before refrigerating.

Notes

If making a vegan version, substitute honey with agave syrup. The jam can be stored in the fridge for up to three months.
