Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until fully combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.
- For the frosting, beat the softened butter in a bowl until creamy and smooth.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar and cocoa powder, alternating with milk, mixing until smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Spread the frosting over the cooled brownies and cut into squares to serve.
Notes
For a richer flavor, consider adding espresso powder to the batter. Use a knife or pizza cutter for perfectly even slices.
