Description

Delicious Christmas cookies with a warm, spiced flavor, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter (softened)
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Nutmeg
  • ½ tsp Cloves
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • Chocolate Chips/Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, beating until well incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, and spices.
  5. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Using a cookie scoop, portion the dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each for spreading.
  7. Bake for about 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
  8. Sprinkle with additional chocolate chips or sprinkles immediately after removing from oven.
  9. Allow to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
