Fudgy, chocolatey bars filled with melty chocolate chips and crunchy toffee, perfect for any occasion.

- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup light or dark brown sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- ¼ cup light corn syrup
- 1 ½ cups toffee bits
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 13×9-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, oats, coconut, salt, and brown sugar. Mix at low speed until evenly blended.
- Add the softened butter and mix until crumbly. Beat in the egg until fully incorporated, then fold in the chocolate chips.
- Reserve about 1 ½ cups of the dough mixture for the topping.
- Press the remaining dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 10 minutes.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and corn syrup until smooth. Pour over the hot crust.
- Sprinkle toffee bits over the filling, and crumble the reserved dough over the top.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
Notes
These bars can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week, or frozen for up to three months.
