- 4 cups seafood stock
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/4 cup sherry (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh chives for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to create a roux.
- Gradually whisk in the seafood stock, bring to a simmer.
- Add the langostino lobster tails and cook until heated through, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and sherry, mixing until well blended.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting flavors as necessary.
- Blend with an immersion blender for a smoother texture, if desired.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped chives.
