Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Cream together the butter and brown sugar until fluffy, then add molasses and eggs until smooth.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, alternating with buttermilk until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
- Serve warm, topped with vanilla cream sauce, sliced bananas, and whipped cream.
