Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Cream together the butter and brown sugar until fluffy, then add molasses and eggs until smooth.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, alternating with buttermilk until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
