Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup sliced almonds
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, butter, and powdered sugar until crumbly.
  3. Add the egg and knead into a smooth dough; press into a tart pan.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together ricotta, sugar, eggs, orange zest, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Pour the ricotta mixture over the crust and spread evenly.
  6. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and set; cool before drizzling with melted chocolate.

Notes

For gluten-free, substitute flour with a gluten-free blend. For dairy-free, use a plant-based ricotta.
