Ingredients

  • 125 g melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 340°F (170°C) and line an 8-inch square pan.
  2. Whip egg whites until stiff peaks form; set aside.
  3. Beat yolks and sugar together until pale and fluffy.
  4. Mix in melted butter, vanilla, then flour until just combined.
  5. Slowly add lukewarm milk until the mixture is smooth.
  6. Fold in egg whites gently.
  7. Bake for 35–60 minutes until a golden top forms.
  8. Cool completely, dust with icing sugar, slice, and enjoy.
