Description

Mini Grilled Cheese Hawaiian Rolls are soft, sweet rolls filled with gooey melted cheese, perfect for gatherings or cozy nights in.


Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs (oregano or basil, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Without separating them, slice the entire pack of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally.
  3. Generously spread softened butter on the cut sides of both halves.
  4. If desired, sprinkle garlic powder over the buttered rolls.
  5. Evenly distribute shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses over the bottom half.
  6. Carefully place the top half back onto the cheesy bottom half.
  7. Tightly wrap the sandwich in aluminum foil.
  8. Place the wrapped rolls in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  9. Unwrap the foil and return the rolls to the oven for an additional 5 minutes for a golden crust.
  10. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then slice into smaller portions and serve warm.

Notes

These rolls can be assembled a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator. Leftovers can be kept for up to 3 days.
