Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter on medium speed until creamy.
  2. Add ¾ cup confectioners’ sugar and beat until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract and peppermint extract.
  4. Gradually beat in flour and salt on low speed until a soft dough forms.
  5. Carefully fold in crushed candy canes.
  6. Cover and refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  8. Scoop 1 tablespoon of dough and roll it into balls. Place them 2 inches apart on the baking sheets.
