Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Pink food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt; sift together.
  3. In another bowl, beat together the sugar and softened butter until creamy and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition; stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.
  6. Spoon the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool completely in the pan.
  9. For the topping, mix shredded coconut with powdered sugar and milk until smooth; add pink food coloring to reach desired shade.
  10. Spread the pink coconut mixture over the cooled chocolate base.
  11. Cut the bars into squares and serve.
