Description
A warm, aromatic loaf packed with cinnamon and nutmeg, bursting with tender apple pieces, perfect for fall gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups Fresh Apples, peeled and chopped
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 cup Sugar (brown sugar recommended)
- 2 large Eggs
- 1/2 cup Butter, melted (or coconut oil for dairy-free)
- 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
- 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing until fully combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet, stirring until just combined; the batter will be thick but not dry.
- Gently fold in the chopped apples, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top. Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Drizzle with powdered sugar and milk glaze if desired.
- Slice the loaf and enjoy warm or at room temperature.
Notes
For best results, use a mix of sweet and tart apples, and let the bread cool completely before slicing.
