- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- 2 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, cooked bacon, jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and roll each ball in breadcrumbs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Fry the cheese balls in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
You can make these cheese balls ahead of time and store them in an airtight container. For longer storage, freeze the uncooked cheese balls.
