- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, pureed
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk for glaze
- Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
- Fold in the strawberry puree gently.
- Pour batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Whisk together powdered sugar and milk for glaze; drizzle over the cooled cake.
- Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Notes
For variations, add chocolate chips or lemon zest for different flavors.
