Ingredients

Scale
  • 3–5 large potatoes
  • 3.5 tbsp (50 g) butter
  • A bunch of fresh dill
  • Salt
  • Smoked paprika
  • Black pepper
  • Oregano
  • 1.1 lbs (500 g) ground beef
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 large tomato
  • 2.5 oz (70 g) tomato paste
  • A bunch of fresh parsley
  • 3.5 oz (100 g) mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil the potatoes until tender, then mash them with butter, dill, salt, smoked paprika, black pepper, and oregano.
  3. In a skillet, cook the ground beef with chopped onion, minced garlic, and diced red bell pepper until browned.
  4. Add diced tomato and tomato paste to the meat mixture and incorporate chopped parsley.
  5. In a baking dish, form nests with the mashed potatoes and create a well in the center for the beef mixture.
  6. Top each nest with mozzarella cheese and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

For lighter variations, substitute ground turkey or lentils for the beef. Ensure to use seasonal ingredients for the best flavors!
