Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Slowly mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Using a cookie scoop, portion the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart, and create an indent in the center of each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown on the edges but soft in the center.
- Cool slightly before filling the indents with caramel sauce.
- Melt the chocolate chips and drizzle over the cookies. Allow to set before serving.
Notes
For a nuttier flavor, add 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts. Substitute with gluten-free flour for a gluten-free option.
