Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the wild rice under cold water to remove debris.
  2. In a large pot, sauté the onion, carrots, celery, and garlic in a splash of olive oil over medium heat for about 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in the mushrooms and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
  4. Add the wild rice, vegetable broth, thyme, sage, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
